Yanique Williams

Public Policy Manager at Uber
Yanique Williams is Uber’s Public Policy Manager for the Prairies and Federal Affairs. In this role, she leads and supports policy initiatives that strengthen safety on the Uber platform across Canada, focusing on road safety, personal safety, women’s safety, and health. She also works closely with Uber’s Product Inclusion team and serves on the company’s Fairness Working Group, helping design inclusive products that meet the needs of diverse communities and deliver positive social impact. Before joining the technology sector, Yanique spent more than eight years in Canadian politics. She advised on policies related to international trade, rural economic development, and the growth of small businesses, while also advancing priorities on gender equality, addressing gender-based violence, and supporting the Government of Canada’s diversity and inclusion commitments. Beyond her professional work, Yanique is deeply engaged in her community. She actively supports initiatives and organizations that have shaped her journey, finding fulfillment in giving back and creating opportunities for others.
