Shachi Kurl leads the Angus Reid Institute, Canada’s premier non-profit foundation dedicated to independent research. Her work with public opinion data has significantly advanced our understanding of critical national and global issues. You’ve likely seen her expert analysis on CBC’s “Power and Politics,” or read her insights in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Globe and Mail. In October 2020, she moderated BC’s only televised provincial election debate, presented by the British Columbia Broadcast Consortium.
In addition to her media presence, Shachi has a storied career in journalism and political science, holding a degree from Carleton University and returning there as an Adjunct Research Professor in 2022. She also moderated high-profile leaders debates, including BC’s televised provincial election debate, presented by the British Columbia Broadcast Consortium in 2020 and the 2021 English language leaders debate during the 44th federal election.
Shachi will be joined by key thought leaders from diverse political aisles and the discussion will be about the future of federal political campaigning in Canada.
