DJ Koessler is the founder of Koessler Strategies and an advisor to political candidates, causes, companies, and cultural figures.

A Democratic campaign veteran, DJ has spent most of his career on the front lines of politics and media. In 2020, he led social media and digital rapid response for Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign, and in 2016, he served on Hillary Clinton’s digital team.

DJ honed his chops at Blue State, and has built and led teams at top advocacy organizations, including Climate Power and Stand Up America. With more than a decade of experience, DJ has worked with Fortune 100 brands, advised winning electoral and public affairs campaigns, and held the pen for some of the world's most well-known politicians, entertainers, and athletes.

A master's graduate of Columbia University, DJ returned to campus to teach courses in strategic communication. He serves on the Impact Communications Institute board and the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund campaign board.
