Karina Gould

Karina Gould is the Member of Parliament for Burlington, first elected in October 2015, and currently serves as Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance (appointed June 2025).
She previously held several key Cabinet positions, including Minister of Democratic Institutions, International Development, Families, Children and Social Development, and Government House Leader.
A McGill and Oxford graduate, she began her career in trade and migration roles before entering Parliament and is known as the youngest woman ever to become a federal Cabinet minister, as well as the first to give birth while in office. She continues to champion policies around family well‑being, democratic governance, and fiscal leadership.
