As Partner at Northweather, Zain brings over a decade of experience in advocacy, political, and non-profit communications, marketing, and engagement.

A frequent public speaker and regular political commentator, Zain appears on CBC radio and television, and has been featured in federal election night coverage for CTV News. Zain also holds the position of Board Chair at The YMCA Calgary and is an active board member of organizations including the Canadian Children's Book Centre, and The Samara Centre for Democracy.

Zain's diverse background in consulting and politics has led him to collaborate with both companies and non-profits, as well as to play key roles in notable political campaigns. In 2017, he served as the campaign manager for Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and led advertising efforts for the Alberta NDP in 2023, and served as Naheed Nenshi’s campaign director for his historic 2024 Alberta NDP Leadership.

Additionally, Zain hosts the acclaimed podcast, The Strategists, where he dissects contemporary political strategy and public affairs topics.

Recognized for his contributions, Zain was listed among Calgary's Top 40 under 40 by Avenue Magazine. He received the Horizon Alumni Award from the University of Alberta and was honored with the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal for his dedicated community service.

Zain holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
